I’m at a loss here, really. It’s not on the show (they repeat a different verse instead), it wasn’t in Glee Live, but it was on the album and it’s on the game.
Glee Karaoke Revolution Volume 2 is rated 12 and over, where the old one was rated ages 3 and up. According to Amazon UK anyway. Why couldn’t it have just been in the show?
Everytime I think I’m over this, something else comes out to make me ask “why?”
Of course, they asked over at Bilerico. I asked Adam to let me know if they heard but so far, I haven’t heard anything.
….that’s bizzarre. I assumed they just never recorded that verse, did an alternate arrangement.
I’m confused about what they changed. Gaga’s lyrics go:
Don’t be a drag, just be a queen
Whether you’re broke or evergreen
You’re black, white, beige, chola descent
You’re Lebanese, you’re orient
Whether life’s disabilities
Left you outcast, bullied, or teased
Rejoice and love yourself today
’cause baby you were born this way
No matter gay, straight, or bi,
Lesbian, transgendered life,
I’m on the right track baby,
I was born to survive.
No matter black, white or beige
Chola or orient made,
I’m on the right track baby,
I was born to be brave.
Didn’t they just skip the “no matter gay, straight or bi” part without actually changing anything. I’ve listened more than once to their version, and I’m sure I must be missing something, but I thought they just skipped large parts of that song. What was repeated?
Not to say that I wouldn’t rather have had that verse in there then the second part of it, but I thought it was more skipped than changed.
I would love to know why most of the additional performance is scenes of Quinn talking to Lauren, though…
