Wondering why Glee has stopped making sense?

Glee stars Matthew Morrison and Dot Jones have revealed that the show’s scripts are often written at the last minute.

The duo explained that because the series is currently only written by three people – Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan and Ryan Murphy – the episodes often fall behind schedule.

“They’re writing as we go and working their butts off,” Jones said, according to The TV Addict.

“Some days they’d only finish three of the six acts, so when we’d get your script two days before we start working and you weren’t anywhere in there, you’d know you’re going to be in the episode, you’ll just get your lines some time during the eight days we shoot a show.”

Morrison agreed, adding that the stars of the show were handed their lines as they were filming the recent season finale.

This explains so freaking much.

  1. I feel like this is a great use for your tagline, lol. “Can I be really honest with you? Because it comes from a place of caring.” Listen, there is much I love about Glee, but did it _ever_ make sense?

  2. Oh my god it all makes sense now. Because it’s always been kind of a train wreck, but first season really does feel like it gels together more..

All this popularity and they can’t hire a few more writers….maybe some women…

Sometimes I feel like Glee’s passive aggressive great-grandmother. “You have so much potential! If you only applied yourself.”

  3. They are in the process of hiring a proper writing team. One new writer already, but predictably enough he has a penis. We’ll see if they manage to bring a woman into the writer’s room.
